Katherine Taylor Nordgren


Katherine Taylor Nordgren was born and raised on the island of O’ahu, and is the president and founder of I Am Them.


With a contagious passion for Jesus and a heart for the fatherless, she naturally reaches out to everyone and makes sure they are family.


Katherine lives with her husband, Josh, and 5 children (Jack, Fin, Sunny, Eve, and Bree) in the small beach town of Kailua on O'ahu. If you need her, you can find her underwater or walking the beach at sunrise. 

Timothy & Rebecca

Ugandan Representatives and President of Tumaini (our sister Ugandan charity).


Timothy and Rebecca are the keys that unlock everything we do in Uganda.  


Timothy is the best driver in the whole country, and Rebecca is a trauma nurse at the countries largest hospital in Kampala. She is also in school getting her Masters in Nutrition.      

Maddie Tinsley



Madison Danae Tinsley has been a visionary for I Am Them since the beginning and is on the board of directors as treasurer.


As a registered nurse with a passion for healthcare in developing nations, she brings a special perspective to the team.


Her favorite pastimes include traveling the world with her husband, Robert, exploring in the mountains, and playing music. You might also find her diving in an ocean somewhere or with her nose in a good book. She loves her family and friends dearly and will make anyone feel at home. 

Amber Duran


Amber Katrina Duran grew up all around the world in a military family, and has settled in Kailua building a business for people with developmental disabilities.


Amber loves to worship Jesus, and spend time at the beach with her wonderful husband, Austin. She loves to travel, especially to new places, and loves to read.


Amber is skilled at working with others to build into the lives of people young and old.
